Is it because I'm so cocky that I think that the majority of people in the world are wrong about a lot of things?
Quite possibly, yeah. Maybe I look at shit like Fox News, Eurovision and Family Guy and see that there is something wrong.
Maybe I think that those sorts of things are clear indicators that there needs to be more thinking in the world.
It's not that I think that the majority of people in the world are simply born stupid, that I am somehow superior. No, it's simply that I'm sure that there's a whole lot of people who are a whole lot cleverer than the average Joe who purposely coax people on in their mass-consumerist, spoon-fed, non-thinking behaviour.
People in markerting. People in government. People in positions of power.
It's a self-perpetuating beast, too! People grow up with propaganda and mass-consumerist ideology, and thus consider that to be default. So they get educations and jobs to keep the whole thing running. More marketing. More consumerism. More spoon-feeding of information, because that sort of shit is fuckin' profitable.
And thus the sickening cycle goes on. I hate it, and I want no part of it.
Thus,
I'm a non-conformist.
